Lilo Pozzo leads research at the intersection of materials science, AI-driven experimentation, and autonomous laboratories, developing next-generation soft materials for energy storage, medical applications, and sustainable technologies.

She received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006 and was a postdoctoral researcher at the NIST Center for Neutron Research before joining the University of Washington faculty in 2007. Her honors include Fellow of the Neutron Scattering Society of America (2024), the Anne Mayes Memorial Award (2022), the DOE Women in Clean Energy C3E Education Award (2018), and a DOE Early Career Award (2013).
